I wrote a short memoir about my experiences working with the American public. If It Was a Snake It Would’ve Bit Me! breaks my experiences into sad and funny (at least I found them funny) vignettes from across my retail and library careers. The book will release as a series of 26 parts. Each will release on each Monday 8 PM EST (assuming that’s the timezone Wattpad uses) until it’s complete.
Here’s the blurb:
Without wage-slaves, people would go hungry, go naked (not that health regulations stop them from doing that now), and go home (finally!). But retail workers remain under-appreciated, under-paid, and under-medicated. From the day a man exploded in the bathroom to a woman having a seizure on my last night at the grocery store, I had seen (heard and smelled and felt) the strangeness of the American public. Funny and outrageous, I wouldn’t believe the public’s antics if I hadn’t lived them. This memoir captures my experiences across my various public service roles, including a few as a public librarian.
I may post my written-for-fun projects, such as a science fiction novella I wrote nearly 10 years ago about a bored, slightly-out-of-his-mind immortal, on Wattpad. If I do, I will let you know.
If you want to read If It Was a Snake It Would’ve Bit Me! head over to Wattpad.
